May is bike month. We know this because it’s been that way since 1956 and it’s still going to be Bike Month regardless of quarantine or no quarantine, but what do we do about it? Obviously, our normal formats of “Moving People By Bike” won’t work, especially since we emphasize the social nature of riding bikes so we’re going to have to be creative, and creative is what we did.
Our friend Scott was on point when he suggested that we take Ride Like a Fish, our weekly social ride based out of Fiddlin’ Fish Brewing Co on Mondays at 6:30 to the cloud! We spent some time tossing around ideas until we came up with this.
We’re going to host an exclusive Ride Like a Fish happy hour on Zoom at 8 pm on 5/4! Here’s how to get in on it.
It’s simple really, we want to support our local businesses through these tough times, so go by the brewery between now and 5/4 and buy something--a Crowler of your favorite draft, a 4 pack to keep the party going, or maybe a soda or kombucha, and a snack--and ride with it. Snap a photo with your purchase and your bike while on the ride and post it with the hashtag #zoomlikeafish or email it to one of us. After you post it, we will send you a code to join the private zoom sesh. We’re encouraging everyone to ride to the brewery to make your purchase, but it isn’t necessary to get in on the action.
