Linville Gorge Bikepacking

For those interested in dipping their toes into more advanced bikepacking, we've got a 2 night - 3 day trip, exploring the Linville Gorge Wilderness area.

The first leg of the journey will begin in Morganton and put us at Wiseman's overlook after a grueling battle with Old NC 105. The second day won't have any climbs as steep as the first, but will be longer and will put us camping near Wilson Creek. The last leg is the easiest of the 3 where we will arrive back in Morganton.

We are adding a support vehicle to this bikepacking trip for several reasons: campsites are first come first serve so we will need to claim our spots early, the terrain is challenging and could lead to needing mechanical support, but (probably) most notable is the lack of drinking water. One of the biggest challenges of this route is having enough water and making it to places to refill. So to make this route more accessible, we're going to have a vehicle that can take care of mechanical support during the riding segments, that will carry all our provisions for breakfasts, dinners, and drinking water (including cooking gear) for all 3 days. That means all you will need to carry on your bike is your sleeping gear and daily rations. 

Between the mileage, terrain, and primitive camp areas, this is an advanced level bikepacking trip and definitely not beginner friendly. But it's well worth the effort and you're sure to take in some amazing views and make some great friends along the way. Our support team will be around to make things as chill as possible throughout the entire trip.
