About the Event
For those interested in dipping their toes into more advanced bikepacking, we've got a 2 night - 3 day trip, exploring the Linville Gorge Wilderness area.
The first leg of the journey will begin in Morganton and put us at Wiseman's overlook after a grueling battle with Old NC 105. The second day won't have any climbs as steep as the first, but will be longer and will put us camping near Wilson Creek. The last leg is the easiest of the 3 where we will arrive back in Morganton.
We are adding a support vehicle to this bikepacking trip for several reasons: campsites are first come first serve so we will need to claim our spots early, the terrain is challenging and could lead to needing mechanical support, but (probably) most notable is the lack of drinking water.
