FORBA love of Mountain Biking!
In 2016, we set out to start organizing Winston-Salem’s mountain bike community in order to provide some continuity in trail building practices and have a larger voice to accomplish some lofty goals. We also wanted to build a team and process for properly maintaining our existing trails.
Out of our efforts came FORBA (Forsyth Off Road Bicycle Association)
Mission: Collaborate with local riders, organizations and municipalities to create and maintain a variety of sustainable mountain biking trails in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, NC
Early in 2017 we completed trail inventories for Hobby Park, Tanglewood, and Horizons Park and have identified some projects to work on. Things like trail rerouting for better drainage to combat erosion or improve the flow of the trail, more signage, rebuilding deteriorating buildings and putting in some new technical features.
FORBA will be hosting several volunteer trail work days throughout the year and we hope you will come out and help us get this important work done.

FORBA is a membership-based organization. We want everyone who rides the trails to become a member and have a say on the trails. Together we’ll determine where we go as a MTB community and rally the partners and tools to make it happen. Annual membership is $10 and the money goes to fund work on our local trails.
