I’m pretty sure you’ve heard about Habitat for Humanity by now but what you may not have heard about all the things Habitat does for our community or ways you can be involved. They not only have a long history of helping people all over the world become homeowners, they help them learn to maintain home-ownership permanently. Since 1976, Habitat has helped 6.8 million people find strength, stability and independence through safe, decent and affordable shelter. The organization depends on volunteer labor and donations to continue their mission to eliminate poverty-housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. So we decided to take action and help. Check out our upcoming BikeNBuild event and don’t worry if you don’t have any sweet construction skills, everyone is welcome to help (as long as you’re 16 or older). Make sure you sign up soon, there are only 20 spots available.
